in march i bought a rather tatty mk2 1.8 mx5 which went from this
to this
got d2 racing coils, rota grid-v candy purple, lotus elise s2 seats, kenwood double din satnav and new brakes with braided hoses. then that decided to throw a rod and i lost a lot of money in selling things so along comes this thing quite local and quite cheap with 53k on the clock
pictures just taken on my phone i only got it earlier today, so far i am really enjoying it

) I really like them though; I've never driven one but they just look like good fun! They look good in silver chaps 
Had one of these since December, there were a few little issues I had with it to start, but got used to most of them now. Just wish it had a bit more power!
In two minds of what to do with it though, its a cheap motor to run, almost double the MPG of my last car! And good fun on the B roads. But for longer journeys it's not the best.

The wheels are absolutely destroyed, curbed to hell and starting to get corrosion on so thinking about getting some OZ Superturismos or Team Dynamic 1.2s in 15x7 with some 195/45 tyres on there to get it looking nicer then get some stiffer springs as i find it rolls quite a bit, then it should be fine. I just drove 200 miles down to japfest and it was fine on the motorway cruise but that's comparing it to the mx5 which had stiff coils and elise seats
Got a soft spot for one of these, my friend had one when I had my Yaris T Sport and the cars were so evenly matched, until I went & stuck a supercharger on mine. As for out of the box I now know that this was the car to have, so much as I keep an eye about for a cheap example to have as a second car, or something to use day to day so I can get rid of the Fabia, and free up some cash.
Used to have one of these, did my first couple of track days in it, was incredible fun.
I'd caution against long journeys in one though unless you know the roads are perfectly smooth along your route. The ride is very harsh to the extent that I had to get my back looked at
its as much to do with the crap roads around where I live as it was with the Ignis suspension though I guess.
But the stiff setup does make them awesome on track though, great comedy value too as no-one expects a "grannys shopping car" to be any good

Great little cars, I currently have a red one on a 55 plate and while basically being a box on wheels (postman pats van is what mine gets called) its great driving something different, only ever seen three other iggy sports ever.

i'm really loving it so far.Got some degreaser on the way so i can freshen up the engine bay and also may stick a cone filter i have laying around onto it just to get rid of the stupidly large airbox. Also the wheels are getting refurbished next week as they're a lovely shade of yellow currently

My wheels need doin badly, really fubar ATM, tempted to get them redone in black tbh.

Fitted my kenwood double din yesterday aswell, quite annoying as the slot isn't quite a double in slot so had to trim the surround
Hopefully get to a few shows this year, not been to one in a good 18 months.
Found some videos of the S1600 rally cars, they look n sound the mutts nuts, wish mine was yellow, best colour for them personally.
