Genuinely Puzzled - Mods Can You Please Answer My Question?

Yesterday I put a thread in the General Motorsport section offering 2 Spanish GP tickets for sale as we are no longer able to go as my dad has had a stroke. This was removed and I was sent an e mail saying that advertising is not allowed. There have always been threads in both the Le Mans and the Goodwood sections for tickets for sale/wanted/swap etc so how is this any different?
Advertising is not allowed on any of the forums.
We can't hope to catch all instances of these infractions; not all posts are read by moderators, so we rely on users reporting those that might need looking at.
Perhaps those that you have seen previously have been lucky to get away with it - next time report them!
As the email you received said, sticking them up in the classifieds is the best approach.

A fair question. In the LM section we established a sell/swap section as there were so many posts of that type being posted in the lead up to the event. Goodwood doesn't have that so it seems a few have slipped through which have been missed.
Rules do ask that members don't sell on the forums, hence the deletion, and in a large category like motorsport we do have to be quite rigid I'm afraid. Sorry.
