looking for a weekend toy to take away the boredom of the front drive diesel and a little more space than the bike here's the spec
approx £10k
must have at least 3 seats
must be rear wheel drive no 4x4 of front
don't want to spend more time under the bonnet than driving
think that's about it

e46 M3? (or e36 if 10K doesnt buy a e46), fits all the criteria, and if you invest a few grand it'll be a murderously good trackday car as well.

But a good call!

Personally I think something a bit more leftfield like that is the way forward for a weekend toy. It seems a complete waste of money buying some relatively sensible sports saloon or coupe you could use all week and then locking it in the garage until Friday evening.

Matra Murena?

More seriously, what do you want? Track, sportscar or GT?

3 seats though?
One of these and a bus pass would be a solution smile

Don't get a bmw saloon as a weekend car.
Get something with some flair.

Hmmm.
How about something with three front seats.
Rwd. Big engine
Transit Van!!!

What about a big yank pick up truck?
They often have three front seats?

It does have three seats. That's why I suggested it.

Unless he gets a Matra Murena.
