CAR WAS RUNING ROUGH, FOUND AIR LEAK AT BACK OFF ENGINE,ON PIPES, CLIP PIPES, CAR ROUNDS GREAT, GO TO DRIVE IT CAR CUTS OUT.HARD TO START AGAIN /IF AT ALL, AS I BLOCK OFF THIS EXTRA AIR GETTING IN,IS NOW TOO RICH FOR IT RUN AT ALL??AS MAYBE IT WAS SET UP BEFORE I GOT THE CAR TO RUN BEST AS WITH THIS AIR LEAK.

update,car will not now rev above 1500 ,it just wants to cut out then ,seem to have sorted one thing out and got some else from that?

Hi,

It might make it easier for someone to help track down the problem if you list everything you have done so far. Also best not to assume all new parts that you've fitted are good, for example I once spent weeks trying to track down a misfire which ended up being caused by a faulty (new) rotor arm I'd fitted whilst trying to resolve another issue
