I saw my first Chim back in 1994 while I was walking to school. It was sitting in traffic burbling away as though the four horsemen had upgraded their mode of transport.

Having been through uni, law school and all the rest, I've finally bought my dream car - a 1999 Chim 4.0 in polar silver.

I just can't believe how good it is. To have the engine thumping away behind you while threading it down some great country roads. Everything is just so precise, and the car so planted (provided 'ballet shoes' are used round corners, of course!)- does it get any better than this?

If you see a silver Chim burbling around Sussex piloted by a ginger bloke grinning so hard his ears are wet, give me a wave!

Indeed. I also like the fold down windscreen and spacious front boot. The seats and steering wheel positions are a little unorthodox though.

Hi,

Excellent choice. still haven't managed to drive my chimaera without breaking into a wide smile and cranking up Ice T or Rage Against the Machine on the stereo.

Sussex seems a hot bed for Chimaera activity.

I'm in Brighton most weekends... either visiting parents are going to the Zap...never fail to see another Chimaera... i'll look out for you.

Chimleic, I'll also post some photos of the 180 degree head replacement surgery I had done to compensate for the unorthodox driving position.

One thing I do find odd is that it only has one forward gear and five for reverse...

Trinitycall - I'll definitely look out for you. As for RATM on the stereo, good choice!
