Hi just wondering if anyone can fill me in on the process of adding a role cage and is it something that can be added without removing the body and what types are available and what type is required for different events FIA etc and what cost is involved given time I would like to enter some track events in her but not sure as yet what ones I am not sure what events a 1970 Vixen would Qualify for.

you should always cut the floor sections out to allow steel to steel fixing then glass back up afterward

Bolt in unit...it needs to be removable in case you need to lift the body off for repairs.

Makes sense but what do you bolt it to I presume there needs to be brackets welded to the chassis surly the body would have to come off to do that

This link is to the roll bar I had made.

The replacement fitted well. It's glassed in so body removal would be a nuisance, though not too difficult (don't think there is an alternative anyway) Certainly cosy behind my MX5 seats. Room for the spare beneath the horizontal bar, though it takes some fiddling to get it in. Keep meaning to get it to buy a spacesaver.

No body off, unless you want to make the access holes smaller...you will need to cut anyway if you do a welded unit. Rear two point is not a big deal, as the diff cover is removable.

Hi keith that's the kind of thing however the bar behind the seat would bring the seat forward 2 and a half inches then I would not be able to drive her
Any thoughts
