Just found out that 'official' parking at Wembley tomorrow is over £25 yuck Last time I drove up there, a couple of years back, we stopped a little way short of the stadium in some 'unofficial' parking for a tenner. Anybody know if those sorts of places still exist, or have they been outlawed by Brent Council's 'protected parking' scheme? Anyone got any bright spots to suggest? All the 'park at my house' ones are full.

When I used to live in Wembley 4 years ago (20 minute walk from the Stadium), quite often we'd have people knocking on our door, paying us a tenner so they could park their car for the day!

Edited to add

You can park on road called Wembley Park Drive which is 10 mins walk from the stadium, you'll get a space if you arrive before the rest of the crowd.

There's a sports/social nearby that usually does parking.

Or it did when I've been there.

How about checking out parking at Harrow-on-the-hill or Northwick Park tube stations ?

You can then get a Met line train to Wembley Park and be travelling without 99% of other tube users each way as they will be heading from/back towards London.

thanks all, I've found a Parkatmyhouse space 10 mins walk away for £12, which is a lot better than Wembley's £27.50 eek

avoid the area completely,

get off the M40 at Denham and head for Gerrards Cross station. Park there all day and get the rattler straight to the stadium station. Best advise coming from the north, is to ask a Man U supporter, theyre the regularsbiggrin

This - it's much easier than trying to get into the Wembley area - but I'd probably go for Uxbridge/Ruislip/Rayners Lane areas as OP's coming from the West.

It is possible to park at Wembley Park tube station, there won't be many people taking the tube from that station....

I doubted my mate when he claimed you could but we parked there for England - Brazil with no fuss.

That's good lateral thinking Chris, I would have tried that if I hadn't managed to get a place on someone's drive nearby(ish). Brent Council has brought in a 'protective parking' scheme which applies on event days though, and which makes it impossible to park if you're not a resident or local business, and I'd be pretty surprised if W/Park tube wasn't involved in that.

Parkatmyhouse guy was brilliant, he gave us a lift most of the way to the Stadium, great day all round.

Could be wrong but I doubt you would have got in there yesterday.

I work in Wembley on event days, you can park in those car parks you speak of there's loads of them, one by the quality hotel is £10.
All around the forth way.
The nearest place to park free is down by the ace cafe.
I'd park a couple of stops away in Kenton and get the train down though to be honest.
