As some of you know my T350 has been in the classifieds as I'm after an R8. However, I let a very disappointed potential buyer down yesterday (Sorry Gareth) as I just can't bring myself to sell her - whats really swung my decision was a trip out in the sun and decent weather over the weekend. I've decided to get a 2nd car instead (MINI Cooper S works) to run in the crap weather (the TVR is no fun) and also use as a track toy.
I know I'm unlikely to lose money on the TVR and as it's one of only a teeny handful in the condition its in and with the 4.3 I'd never be able to buy one again should the R8 not be right.
I shall await all the told you so's etc anyhow....

A difficult decision, but I think you have made the right one, having a good second car will make the TVR feel like an occasion when you get out in it (weather permitting). You arent going to lose much money on it either in the next few years and how many do you see? very few, they are unique and different and in the 4.3 you have one that goes as fast as it looks.

I saw a nice one on Sunday at the Central Scotland meet, a Targa, and I think they look fantastic. Mind you I liked all the TVRs that were there!.

After a couple of timewasters, I've got someone having my Tamora inspected tomorrow.

I must admit that I'm tempted to keep it and concentrate on selling the S4 instead.

I've never been so indecisive - or have I ?

Anyway, I think the T350 is the one to keep - rarer too than an R8

Good call... After seeing your car at Duxford and speaking with you I'm not totally surprised, she's a beauty.

See you around :-)

There are some fantastic cars out there, including the R8. However, there's something very, very special about the T350 (and the Tamora, Sag, Tuscan, in fact all of them)!

I think you've made the right decision. A nice daily driver with the T350 for those 'special' drives is just perfect. As you say, you'd struggle to ever replace what you've got now thumbup

Hi Tony... Just about getting over it mate.

Tbh I think you did the right thing.

I have just confirmed a deal on a mint car, from a great guy so I'm really chuffed. Everyone's a winner :-)

Glad you're staying in the fold, I suspected the R8 wouldn't be a 'keeper' in the same way as a TVR. I sold mine in 2009, and bought the same car back a few months later (then that owner went out and bought another one!).

However, I mostly feel sorry for the guy who didn't get to buy it. We all hate timewaster buyers... well it works the other way too. I tell it like I see it.

Strange you say that - I decided to keep the T350 and added a 2005 MCS JCW to run alongside and keep the TVR for special times smile

Hi Gareth,
Congratulations mate and glad you have now found a car. Theres not many T350s on the road (56 Ts and about 3-4 times that for Cs) so they are a very rare beast. However, theres a reasonable percentage of those that are very ropey so it's always worth hanging on for the right car to come along rather than rush into a purchase smile
What have you bought then? Get some pictures up....
