Fast but enjoyable/scenic route from Calais to Luxembourg?

As per the title, This friday I'm setting off to Luxembourg to visit friends and I fancied driving rather than catching a plane, booked on the 12.50pm shuttle arriving 14.55 local time.

I've looked at the route and the most direct way is through Belgium, but I noticed Reims is almost on route if I go through France and then up into Luxembourg adds about 50 miles to the journey, as I fancy getting "that photo".

I'm pretty clueless as to any other routes, so any suggestions/experience gratefully received.
