It might be helpful in diagnosing this problem, if you pointed out if this noise only started after you fitted the FSE power valve yesterday, or not.
I only noticed that by accident because I don't usually read "what I did today" threads.
But you read threads titled t.t.t.t.t.t.t.t
Seriously ...Nope, it was like it before and it sounded like it was the fuel pressure regulator valve which is why I replaced and upgraded it but I noticed the noise was still there after and using the pipe from my petrol can as an ear trumpet I traced it to the injector closest to the fuel pressure regulator.
It's the only one that ticks like that and it only does it when it's squirting fuel (when you tickle the throttle).
I'm guessing that the injector has had it.
Any ideas?
i read "t.t.t.t.t.t.t.t.t.t." because i could tell that was the noise an injector makes when it's worn (or if you hold a lolly stick in bike spokes, but didn't expect that here).
It does sound like the injector is sticking - it might be worth getting them properly cleaned - they would also be able to test the spray pattern, and cycle duration etc.
Having said that, I had a ticky injector on my granada (same engine) for ages. Just when I was getting round to fixing it, it went away again...

OK thanks, I read a thread here that suggested filling the fuel filter with injector cleaner as it hits the injectors fully concentrated and undiluted by the petrol, so I may give that a try first.
If not, I'm off to my local ASNU!
