Dan, any idea when the second phase of brochures (ie for sponsors) will be released?

It was suggested at PF, the brochures would be sent out by September, with our applications to be made by the end of that month.

I'm half expecting that PR Photography tour has ceased for some reason Still, it's too late for me to start working on sporsorship anyway. Crying shame, as Dan and Dave are top blokes!

I hope it hasn't stopped!

To tell the truth I am a bit disappointed with the speed things are moving at too. Unfortunately people are busy doing other stuff, such as jobs and boring things like that. I'll try and get an update put on here ASAP.

Apologies for the silence, everyone involved in the 'Tour' has been hard at work - we have not forgotten about you.

Yes the brochures were said to be coming out around Sept/Oct but unfortunately one of the main advertisers for the 'Tour' brochure has had some financial difficulties which I think is best not to discuss over a forum. We all took time out in order to attend the photoshoot and we do appreciate the time and effort people put into making the photoshoot a sucess. The brochure is being produced, it is just delayed.

Can I please remind you that this is a non-profit making event, the people involved in the 'Tour' are working in their spare time (some in work time) and that we would appreciate your patience.

Progress has been made with the event, the route is being finalised, accomodation is being secured. When you are working together with charities like CRUK and NSPCC, everything planned has to meet with their criteria, for example it would not be appropriate for a tobacco company to sponsor an event in aid of CRUK. Just because we haven't posted anything recently does not mean we have forgotten about the event, far from it. We cannot release details of the route or the accomodation because as you know, this is secret. It has gone quiet for a reason, those of you who have dealt with CRUK, NSPCC, OFCOM and the BBC will understand that it requires time, silence and discretion.

Jamie,

Many thanks for your response and I do appreciate the hard work that goes into something like this - keep up the good work.

PS - of course, if you dropped us a little news update snippet like this now and again we'd all get off of your backs! :-) :-) :-)
