Classifieds Scam
Discussion
My brother nearly fell for this so am passing the message on.
Dealer Stocklist
Cars being advertised on Pistonheads by a seemingly genuine dealer- but when looked into the dealer doesn't have them on their website and the link directs you to a sale page and an email address which is used for a whole heap of 'bargain' motors.
The page insists not use the 'email dealer' button but get in contact via email. Then when a deal is struck a message is sent from Quinns Car Transport confirming that the car is it be delivered. Whether or not Quinns know this is a scam or that the email from them is complete rubbish is uncertain.
Just thought I'd try to red flag this before people started sending bank transfers etc.
You might think you'd be a fool to fall for it but you'd be surprised how many people do.
