Any PistonHeaders taking part in this event next month?
I'll be there, donning my PH Jersey (weather permitting) with a couple of cycling buddies and keen to say hello to any PHers in attendance.

The distance won't be an issue really, I know you'll feel a little apprehensive but you're one of many people who will feel the same. When riding in a casual group like that with plenty of refreshment stops you'll find the miles just fly by
I hear the food at lunch is great too!
Just ensure you drink a lot beforehand during and afterwards along with a higher intake of food throughout to keep the energy levels up.
I am a little apprehensive about the climbs to be honest as although a lot of people walk up I'm determined not to.
Really looking forward to it and it would be great to meet a fellow PHer!

Done. Got away at 8 ish and arrived in Filey at 2.30 having stopped 3 times. Managed to get up all the hills ok. Amazed at the number of people passing us cycling back well before we were in Filey. Perhaps next year. I didnt see you but afterwards my mate said he saw someone in a PH jersey at one of the water stops so perhaps that was you. Good day out.

We got away at 7.50 and into Filey at 2pm, you'll have been a couple of groups behind me at the start, we must have just missed each other!
We stopped at the first two stops before lunch and at the pub toward the end for a toilet break. Really enjoyed it but got absolutely drenched just after lunch in the downpour... we saw it coming at lunch and tried to outrun it. Failed.
I didn't manage either hill
Really struggled with the 2nd and walked up most of it!! But we made a lot of time elsewhere and came home with an avg speed of 15.7mph!
I did keep an eye out for other PH jerseys but I didn't see any.
Looking forward to next year where I'll train so I can get up the hills or get some more gears!!
