Which grade oil ?

Hi All, do you guy's think i would be better off using 15W 50 synthetic, instead of 0W 40. Reason being i live in a warm climate, your thought's will be much appreciated.

I think with our older spec engines, full synthetic oils are too thin for hotter climates, and lack the zddp content that keeps the valve train from wearing prematurely.
I'm currently using Castrol GTX 15W-40 A3/B3, API SL/CF Part synthetic

For the next oil change I have got some Valvoline VR1 Racing oil, 20W-50 which has been recommended to me.

API SL/CF oils are best, higher rated /CG or /CJ lack the zddp.

Or so I've been told.
