Hello to all fellow enthusiasts.

Since the end of last year I'm the proud and happy owner of a 1998 Cerbera 4.5, purchased from a fellow PH member. As I live in the Netherlands and the goal is to drive the Cerbera on the Dutch roads legally, some modifications are needed to be able to get it licensed (mainly lighting issues due to RH traffic). During past winter I’ve attended to these, and the next step was to make an appointment with the RDW (Dutch DVLA).

During the inspection everything was OK technically. However, the inspector needs to know the max. permissible axle loads F/R and the max. permissible vehicle mass. According Dutch/EU law, it is obligatory to have this data for vehicles first registered after 01.01.1998.

Unfortunately I don’t have this data available. The instruction manual only gives the empty mass of the vehicle, but no information on permissible masses. There are several other Cerberas in registered in Holland, including registered (!)max. axle masses, but the inspector requires a document of a ‘reliable source’, and cannot(?) copy the information from another Dutch registration document. scratchchin

Does anyone have some technical data containing permissible masses available? Maybe a workshop manual or a brochure/specification sheet contains this information. A photocopy or scan, prefereably of a TVR document, will help to convince the inspector to complete the paperwork.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards from the Netherlands,

JW (Jan-Willem)

I'm sure one of the guys in your country would give you a hand regarding the papers, however:
Maximum load is 700kg front and 880Kg rear, max. laden mass is 1476kg
Send me a PM and I'll forward what I have. This is from LC317/A/018 based on a 4.2/1996
