So, Imagine you had a rich person offer you to buy and run a business where you would share profits.

Obviously it has to be something that has a very high limit to make it interesting enough for the rich person (so offering to buy you a sandwich trailer is probably out)
And it can't be something ridiculously expensive as it is high risk for the rich person (so buying the Dorchester and letting you run it is probably out too)

What would you buy for up to a million that is interesting and profitable enough for you to run and share with someone 50/50?

Kudos

High end cofee shop. And as if by luck I'm looking a franchisee to take on a branded shop in London with a huge throughput of customers.

Interested?

I would go on the McDonalds franchise scheme. I know an owner who now has 12, started with 1 15 years ago and is absolutely creaming it.

£1m will get you a nice one.

Having dealt with loads of millionaires I'd say avoid it - egotistical buggers in general.... Do it as a straight loan

I briefly worked for a cable gland manufacturer, thats what I would do if I had the capital. There aren't a lot of manufacturers and the demand will always be there also the brass can still be sold for what it was bought for if it goes pear shaped.
