Decided to try a set of freshly refurbished CLS wheels on my mint 2005 E270CDi Avantgarde, what do we think?

Cars been in the family from new, I've had it for 4 years, was going to change it but just can't justify changing it so thought I'd freshen it up a little.

Front - 245/40/18
Rear-265/35/18

Looks great to me. I do think that Mercs tend to suit only original Merc wheels and for the E-Class I do think it looks great with the staggered setup you've went for, 18" is (from experience) a good balance of big enough to look good without looking silly or ruining the ride.

Cheers guys, getting used to them, at first thought they looked too tall and wide after the standard 16's but loving it now and best bit is the ride doesn't feel comprimised at all, although haven't hit any serious potholes, yet!

Going to get the 16's refurbed now and put a set of winters on them for December to April I'm thinking though with the current weather they might never come back off lol!!

It is the wife who uses the car so will be keeping an eye on them for kerbing!! Divorce might follow!!

Apologies, fronts are 235/40/18, thankfully, 245's would be too wide.

211's look great on 18's.

Those really suit - not OEM but look OEM.

AC thank you.

I do hate when things don't look original but there wasn't really an alternative that I liked and I like the way these are slightly deep set at the rear. I went though with the tyre sizes that were put on 18's supplied OEM.

With the standard set up on the Avantgarde I think it sits low enough.

Thinking of replacing discs with cross/ drilled discs as they are far more visible, thoughts????

I have also put a light smoke on all windows and installed the Parrot Bluetooth kit that works via steering wheel so no additional buttons.

My rear centre brake light is starting to loose some of its LED's so will replace, considering the smoked version rather than the red, think it will suit the smoked with the glass and silver car, heard these might have been standard on E55??
