Fiesta new 3-cylinder engine
Discussion
We finally got our hands on the new shape Fiesta with the new Eco-Whatsit engine, and I have to admit I'm disappointed with it.
Mainly with the engine .. despite the reviews, it's just not as smooth as a 4-cyl, and I wouldn't want to pay 14 grand for a car that sounds and feels like a cheap city car. It never lets you forget it's missing a beat.
The rest of the car is impressive though, except for the seats which seem less supportive than the one-year-old model.
It seems that 3-cyl will always feel like 3-cyl. (Only Wartburg ever fixed this.)
Same goes for Polo and Corsa. But I don't mind that sound in something less pretentious - it adds to the character of a more basic car.
