I hope someone can explain this to me better then the management who run the company as I really don't think they know!!

We all have a new business sales target of £500k for the year. In previous years this target was split over the 12 months based on the 78 rule which is pretty standard calculation.

Now for our new sales year they have decided to put us onto a "rolling target". We still have an annual target of £500k but instead of the 78 rule we have a monthly rolling target of £76,920 every month.

Now couple of things I don't get is:
- How does a rolling target work? Been in sales for 10 years and never come across it before
- How did they come up with £76,920?
- £500k devided by 12 is £41,666 per month
- How the hell am I do to £76,920 per month
- When does the commission kick in? (We get paid between 0.5% - 7% depending on revenue and margin etc)

Hopefully someone with some sense can advise and no one in our sales team has any idea!

Cheers
