S1 airduct hose

hi all. for a customer i am looking for the wide airduct hose that sits between the airflow meter and the plenum chamber/inlet manifold. it is for the S1 with 2.8i V6 k-jetronic. any input much appreciated. p.s.: i'm after an original hose, no aftermarket-will-always-fit solution. thanks, geert van hout.

I was looking for the same thing. Found someone on ebay who had 5 from a Granada 2.8 but they are not long enough (and he decided not to reply to my messages). Contacted David Gerald TVR who also cannot supply the originals but have some second hand 'shorter' pipes which would need two joining together. The price quoted for those was £60 plus VAT plus postage.

Others on this forum have kindly answered my question and advised getting silicone air ducting pipe (76mm). That is the route I have gone down and am awaiting delivery of the pipe and clips now.

This comes up quite often. I couldn't find a good quality flexible hose so I went with silicone hoses and a length of aluminium tube. That's one less thing to worry about now. Here's the list of parts (purchased in the States, but available in Blighty):

1 x 3.0" Silicone 135� Elbow, Black (SIL000668) = $29.99
1 x Silicone Reducer, 3.0" to 2.75" - Black (SIL000066) = $11.99
1 x T-Bolt Clamp for 2.75" Silicone Parts (CLA000103) = $2.60
3 x T-Bolt Clamp for 3.0" Silicone Parts (CLA000104) = $7.80
1 x 1' Straight Aluminum Pipe, 3.0" (SIL000278) = $9.99

Well I did spend nearly 2 years trying to track down an 'original' part and there were none, zippo, nada. Found a second hand Ford part but it would require 2 as its not long enough...

May I suggest you have a look Car Builder Solutions their web site is www.cbsonline.co.uk they have a large selection of various hoses etc. plus their catalogue make interesting reading.

I chose the silicon option, but with a more classic look wrapping around it. if you want I can make a pic and put it here.
