Just pulled it out of the car

First step is to clean it down with alcohol cleaner then to strip the top layer of colour with lovely smelling solvent prep and a scotch pad. Pics to follow (in real time)

I'm looking forward to this one.

My seats aren't too bad but I am planning to do this over the winter.

Good luck and bookmarked.

We all have different priorities. I guess you prefer to take your car out when it isnt raining tongue out

If its real time Derek, what's for lunch?

If you need a spare seat while you refurb, I've got one.

Ive already had a break. Bacon, mushroom and cheese toastie, a cuppa and a little homes under the hammer.
Having another brew now between coats of adhesion promoter.

I will be sat on this seat on the way to Mallory on Friday,
It will be back in the car tomorrow after a clean (which wont be to some garage queen standards).

Derek, you'd be better off taking the seat to bits - makes cleaning and spraying much easier and is only a couple of nuts/bolts per side.

I took a look at that but went ahead with the passenger seat yesterday. All i did was bend the seat adjusters out for access to the leather. I was happy with the result.

2 coats of adhesion promoter with 10% crosslinker were sprayed on.
The boring bit is using a hairdyer (that i bought from Asda for £3.97) to dry after each coat.

This is the first coat of colourant applied with a sponge.
