Just wondering if anyone who's migrated to this forum from the EVO forum was in attendance yesterday?

Hi, I'd post a link but I fairly sure you would end up on the autoexpress forum . Theres a thread in the main room on the evo forum. Thought it best as most are still evo members.

In short though it was a great afternoon. The karts werent the best tbh and it was a case of who broke down least won - well thats our excuse as we came 10th out of 11.

The winners overall and the fastest lap was achieved by 3 of my mates I took along who arrived in a 260 quid rover 820 - rather amusing, but as I said it was down to the karts.

Have a look over the pond there are photos of the in the thread.

Cheers

Simon.

Ah, so it was your mates who were the kart sharks, Broccers... ;-)

We came 8th (Nefarious, dboyXR2i and myself) not because of breakdowns but because of me spinning a bit regularly, and just not being very fast. Not helped by me not being able to open the throttle fully without clambering over the kart like a gibbon.

They're obviously used to extracting the most out of a pile of crap. ;-)

Broccoli, do you have a link to Barrys piccys? I'm interested to have a look.

I was in the BAR team which were scanked into 2nd by a really dodgy pitlane speeding penalty when leading by half a lap with 5 minutes to go.
Remind me, were we briefed on the pitlane speed limit?

The marshalls were arses mate so probably not. I hate being told what to do by children especially monotone unfunny skunk smoking ones at that.

Woodster, I don't know anything about a pit lane speed limit but I went in there at full pelt and nearly spun trying to stop, yet didn't get a penalty. Hope it wasn't because you were rude to one of the gentlemen marshalls...

sounds like fun lads, how much did it cost?

£110 per kart (£36.66 per driver) for a 2 hour endurance race (plus 15 mins qualifying).

Not the highest quality, but we got what we paid for.

Oh arse! That's just rekindled the frustration I felt when I was sat helplessly watching the two other blokes in the team receiving a lecure about pitlane speeding. Thanks Simon
