Got a problem with my passenger side electric window. Goes down fine but can get it to raise again. Won't raise when I lock the car as it usually does. Drivers window is working fine and no fuses have blown. Any idea?

I had this; turned out to be the micro switch in the door. Does the window go up a little when you shut the door? If not, it's almost certainly the micro switch.

Cheers,

Al

The microswitch is behind the chrome door catch. Remove the retaining screws for the chrome plate, then you can get the aluminium plate that sits behind it out using some allen keys. The microswitch is mounted to the door catch mechanism.

I think the mircroswitch is an RS item; i'll have a proper look for a link when I get home from work. One thing to note is that you'll need to keep the actuator arm from the existing microswitch as it's longer than a bog-standard one. Easy enough to transfer over though.

Thanks Al, got it sorted thanks to your help. Wasn't the micro switch after all, bit of a pain but turned out that the motor had jammed. Little gentle persuasion and hey presto, all good.. Thanks again.
