I'm racing in Sports Specials this year but since they're not at Snetterton I'm doing Roadsports in an MR2 turbo. I've chosen to share the drive as well. We're also bringing another mk2 MR2 turbo, a regular MR2 Roadster, and two MR2 Roadsters with 3.5l V6 engines.
What's a MR2 Turbo do around the 200lap ? What a great inaugural Roadsport race yesterday !
Great driving by the whole field - especially the back markers.
A real mix of cars and different abilities made for an action packed 45mins of racing.
I think adding the SR>'s made for a bigger grid but did break up the racing a bit - so perhaps we just need our own grid for the next race (if numbers allow)
A really nice atmosphere - special thanks to Sean & Mike for their help on the day.
Top job.

I saw the ambulance and the car being returned to the pits - looked a proper wreck.
From 750MC - It was a 205 in the Classic Stock Hatch that rolled, but he emerged relatively unscathed.
The Roadsports were a lot of fun - it's not often that one gets to overtake a 917 and a GT40
(OK - replicas but still )

Having had a hand in the regulations for this series (it was based on the now defunct MR2 Super GT series) I was very pleased that it turned out the way it did.

It was a good format - worked very well

I think Donington will be equally good - especially with the time penalties (what do I get ? )
( i wondered what happened to you first corner ! that Lotus was really slow in the corners - I think the SRGT cars need to live somewhere else )

Our first race in No. 55 White Mk1 MR2. Because of the snow means we have 4 races in 7 weeks though
, including a round trip to Pembrey.
