Snap off for the elise :)

Hi there, im in the middle of buying parts for my elise s1, i had a crazy idea about a snap off steering wheel-looks nice and amazing anti theft device!!.

I know geary has a kit £140ish, but in looking around on the net i see you can get the momo snap off for around £70 even if i have to get an adaptor say £35 thats a tad cheaper than eliseparts..but other sites i have been searching dont have the elise has an option in style of car...

I do know however that nearly every part related to the steering surround isvauxhall related!!! so will the vauxhall versio work on the elise??? mine a 98 r reg...hope someone knows and can save me and others some cash!

Did i answer my own question eliseparts have a Black Anodised aluminium hub adaptor....will this do the job?? if so you can get a snap off kit for under £100!!

I wouldnt bother with the snap off kit just get the momo hub adaptor.

I've got a snap off kit in my elise but the amount of times I've taken it off I can count on one hand.

The only time I take it off is when the throttle gubbins need adjusting.

Not really as on those very odd occasions it is usefull !

But if I had a standard wheel and I was upgrading I wouldnt bother.
