Got my box out sorting the rear main oil leak and have found that one of the recently fitted green polyurethane mounts has broken, (parted) already!!!

I need one now as I have to drive back from Simons garage later today.

Are they off a standard car, (Ford etc).

I would like to order one from a factor asap!

Cheers guys.

One of the little bobbins? Aren't they SD1?

Switching between racing green and the Locost forum it seems that the M10 threaded bobbin is a land rover part, only what I'm reading, I don't know for sure.

Hope that's some use.

They are part F0018 on Power's website....but that doesn't really help you much unless Dom's lads can tell you where it came from.

If you take your old one to your local factor they should be able to identify it for you.... I work in the motor trade but cant remember what they are off... a photo may help.

We had to put the broken one back as none were sourced.

I especially fitted a pair of those new green poly items when the gearbox was overhauled.

Obviously the poly has less shear strength then rubber, ( stands to reason when you look at it).

I'll probably fit my old rubber ones and back the pollys to Clev Trevs.

I'll stick a photo up when I remove them.

The problem with matching stuff up nowadays is nobody keeps anything in stock and you can't order it in from further up the supply chain if you don't have a part number for it. You can't get the part number for it unless you have a reg no for the donor car. If you guess at a donor car and place a "special order" if your guess is wrong you are stuck with it. Unless you are lucky enough to have a helpful motor factor who has stock on the shelf and is willing to make the effort - tall ask nowadays.

As for parts people in main dealers, most have no knowledge of cars, have no interest in them and might as well be selling washing machine parts ..............

That is why TVR tax is alive and well wink

err.....its £6.99 plus VAT from Power, a bit more from Racetech, and Power's has the nuts on in their pic, IIRC (and cannot be arsed to check again)

Aren't they just the same mounts used on the LT77 in the Rover Sd1?

You can double check the measurements here:

http://www.shop4autoparts.net/MG_Rover/MG_Rover_Ge...

If the measurements stack up, there's a small saving here:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-V8-Rover-SD1-Gearb...

But the saving is so small you may as well buy them from Power & support a TVR specialist.
