Trip to Loch Inver, Ullapool and Torriden - photo locations

Next week I am heading up to Portskerra, and then across to Loch Inver, Ullapool and Torriden over the course of a few days doing some field sampling with work. I will be taking all my camera gear with me, and was hoping that a few of the locals (GetCarter?) could point me in the direction of a few places I should not miss photographing. Bearing in mind I will be "working" most of the day so may be restricted to the evening 
That's a very long story!
If you drive from Lochinver via Ullapool to Loch Torridon, either via Gairloch or Garve - you can't miss endless photo locations. Time of day (position of sun) and weather are the crucial factors.
Just make sure you drive south out of Lochinver (Towards Achilitbuie), not East, as you'll be on the prettiest road in the UK.
ETA, I'll be there too... what you driving?!

Excellent, unfortunately I have two other people with me - who might not appreciate the constant stopping to photograph the scenery, but I will do my best! This!, probably my favourite part of the highlands. Achnahaird Beach is worth a look as well and is not far out of your way if you take that route.Edited by GetCarter on Thursday 16th May 14:00

I'd suggest going via Gairloch to get to Torridon it may take a little longer but the scenery is very nice.

Sampling?In Scotland?
And you get paid for this?
(Hmm. I don't for a moment suppose it is anything to do with distilleries is it? That would be too much .... )
Thanks Scott, excellent photos. Sampling = sampling rocks to determine the heavy minerals within them, sampling Torridonian, Lewisian and Moinian rocks. Also not adverse to sampling some of the more liquid based material around the area

Well, that sounds relatively positive assuming you go out to sample the rocks rather than to a building where someone already has a collection.Edited by Flippin' Kipper on Thursday 16th May 21:27
At least you will be out and about in the sunshine. Or rain of course. Maybe snow?

You might want to venture into the Whisky Bar in the Torridon Hotel then. (Not sure where you are staying, but it's open to non residents during the daytime Talking of which, look at their car park yesterday:
