The SS2 was a "junior" 4-cylinder version of the 6-cylinder SS1.
Standard made a "bespoke" chassis for the SS1, but the SS2 had a Standard Nine chassis.
These cars were replaced by the SS "Jaguar" range in the mid-30's.
SS2's are quite rare: not many made and, of those, not many survive.
