Does anyone know of somewhere in Leeds or the wider Yorkshire area that buys Dollars at a reasonable rate?

I usually travel to London to use Thomas Exchange who are currently showing a rate of 1.554 to the pound. Everywhere else like TravelEx and the Post Office are nearly 1.80 so it's worth the train journey down there but was hoping there might be somewhere local.

Thanks.

1.80 does seem high

May be worth looking into a Caxton FX card or similar. I use mine all the time, good rates and easy to move between currencies.

I got my Euros from Tesco last week, they were a lot better than everyone else.

Thanks for the replies. The Caxton card isn't quite what I'm after, I just need to change paper for paper. Tesco and most of the banks don't seem to buy dollars and the Post Office give a crap rate. Think I'm stuck with a day out in London. Izabar, it's about $15k.
