Yep, 2002 td5 CSW with winter pack (heated seats & screen). Met silver, newly painted chassis, 12 months mot. AT2's with <5000 miles, silver modulars, Ashcroft high-ratio transfer box, JE remap and intercooler (approx 180bhp). Does 350 miles to a tank (just over 30mpg, thank the LT230!) Parrot Bluetooth whatsit.

Going on eBay at the end of next week.

I think it's probably worth around 8 or 9 grand. I'm planning on running an auction starting at 7k with no reserve and see where it gets to.

I am a Toyota man but..........Defender will be better in the tight twisty tracks in the mountains on the Rallye de Cimes which I am planning to take part in September down in the Pyrenees.

Not a lover of the TD5 but you can get good BHP from them, better than 300TDI on power for sure.

I am having a 4x4 Buggy built at present but it's looking like it won't be ready so I need a banker hence the Defender, everything is booked so I don't want to miss this event as it's the 30th anniversary of when a friend of mine called Pat Willis won the event and another pal of mine called Alvin Smith was second, the French called it the second Trafalgar.

I also entered this event 20 years ago in a 200TDI 90 and finished 24th so am hoping to take part in something a little more competitive but as I have said it's looking a bit doubtful with the Buggy so a 90 as a banker I feel is the way to go.

If you see my other thread I am open to even a 2.4 Puma.

Would be nice to see what Lefty's TD5 looks like especially as it'S NOT got ABS & T/C........can you mail me ? Price, condition etc.

Cool, shall we have a sweepstake for how many shunts you need?

I pick 121.

Not competing this year but will be going to watch and take the piss out of people with unsuitable vehicles.
