Hi all

Can anyone recommend a tyre fitter anywhere between Hindhead and Portsmouth that a) have decent kit and will be careful with alloys, and b) charge a reasonable rate especially when wheels are already off the car?

I'm near Bordon where prices seem to range from £15-20 a wheel for an 18" rim which is considerably more than ISTR paying a couple of years back, and as I've got 8 wheels that need tyres changing, it's starting to get pricey!

Cheers

If your looking for mobile fitters, thats a mine field, if your looking for a dedicated tyre company, then look no further than Denmead Tyres near Waterlooville

Not looking for mobile as I assume they'd only come out when supplying tyres. Denmead is a good shout, I work in Portsmouth so nice and convenient. I'll give them a call on Monday and find out a price, unless you know off hand?

Horndean Tyre Services. Everytime. Nice family business, petrol heads and stock a decent range.

Charged me £40 inclusive to fit 2 new tyres I supplied them, have used them for many years now and would not go anywhere else, such a professional outfit. Throughly recommend there 4 wheel lazer alignment, transformed the handling charistics of my car.

Cheers, it seems gone are the days you can bung them a bit of tea money to get tyres swapped over, I used to pay less than that for 4 wheels when getting tyres swapped for my kit car about 10 years ago! biggrin

Profits not a dirty word, like everything, you get what you pay for, we have a saying 'The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten'

Yeh I know, it just seems to have sky rocketed in recent years, perhaps because more are swapping tyres during winter etc. smile
