Hi

Please can anyone help...

I own a soarer 1jz vvti and it has developed a slight misfire
I have got the error code efi 59 by doing a diagnostic check from the method shown on the soarer world.

I have replaced the spark plugs and the coil.pack looked as if its in good condition
But i still dont know what this code means and the misfire is still occuring.....

Can anyone please help me what is this code efi 59 reffering to?

What does Soarer world reckon code 59 relates to?

You might need to check compression if it is a plain misfire and the plugs and coils have been checked.

Can't help you on specifics, don't know anything about toyota ecus but would EFI refer to the fuel injection? Maybe it's an injector fault?

If you have changed the coils and plugs the next logical step would be the crank angle sensor , forget the codes

This link and this one suggest 59 is VVTI solenoid, however the bloke in the second link eventually seemed to track it down to the timing being off.

However I may well be completly wrong...
