Is there any way of locking the car remotely and without setting the alarm? A longish (24hrs) ferry journey is imminent and the operator has advised to isolate the car alarm to avoid false alarms. I've left the manual at home so can't check that and looked for an isolation switch but can't find it. Thought there was a keyed one in the glove box.

On a db9 I think ( but not sure) there is a button near the drivers right knee when you open the door that does this Yours nights be the same.

Away this weekend so cannot help I'm afraid. I have just locked the car when I have done ferry crossings and no issues - unless of course it is a rough one.

Have a great trip.

You can put the car into reduced guard that disables tilt and internal sensors by pressing the button on the panel just below the seat movement button and above the petrol flap release. Open driver's door and it is the button on the panel with a picture of the car on it. Hth

As above. Button near fuel fuller release, only visible with door open. Press it within 60 secs if switching off ignition. Worked for me this week in ferry.

Then next time you lock the car, does it revert to standard alarm mode again?

Great info, my alarm has usally been set off when I come back next morning on the Portsmouth / Caen run yes

Just grabbed the manual - we had this issue last year with a DB9? on the ferry.

The Reduced Guard function is deactivated once the ignition is switched ON.

Tough audience wink
