Had mine replaced under warranty for fraying on the edge. Had to phone up the warranty company myself to argue it as dealer was useless.

Have exactly this problem, the edge has frayed and caught in the inertia reel, the belt is now jammed and no amount of persuasion will un stick it.

Its a known design fault. the leather guide strap on top of the seat rubs and then frays the edge.

Warranty company didn't want to pay as they claim they don't cover the interior. Just remind them you are tlaking about the main safety device not a DFS sofa.

Thanks all, finally spoke to the local dealer this morning. They confirmed it should be a warranty job and offered to pick the car up. I couldn't fault their attitude.

My leather seat belt guide won't stay done up, which by the sounds of it might be a good thing.

Stopped using mine when I found out it was the cause of the fraying.
