Eastbourne PH Man v Food - 25th May
Discussion
Hi all,
Jamie and Shelly have asked me to put up a thread of their upcoming man v food challenge event (started in the TVR event forum, but is open to everyone!)
Should make for a really nice evening with lots of food and PHers!
Date:
Saturday 25th May - 7pm
Venue:
Harleywood American Diner, Eastbourne (BN21 3DE)
The Challenge:
£30 for a 40oz chargrilled beef burger topped with Jack Cheese, bacon, onion rings, mushrooms, tomato, hashbrowns, lettuce, onion & a mountain of fries topped with cheese, more bacon and sides. (aka A LOT)
The only picture I could find on the net was:

The venue will allow 2 people to share one meal (So £15 each!); or some brave people can always try on their own (If you manage it you'll get it all for free and have your name on the wall!)
Obviously if you're sharing you won't be able to get it for free, but it's still good value!
There's lots more food available should anybody want something different! (Even a different challenge; hot wings!)
Atendees:
1. JamienShelly - Chimaera
2. Zed4 Dan and Ash
3. sjc1969 - Steve and Gillian - Weather permitting we will be there in the cerby
4. Poko & OH - MX5

If someone could start a list it would be great
Cheers
Jamie and Shelly.
Also attending
Sirsagalot and Whench
Dave and Viv
Luke and Beth
Also I was thinking we could meet up before hand at a designated spot and have a nice run over the downs to provoke the appetites and then a cruise up the seafront if allowed (as there is a carnival on)then go and fill ourselves up.
Cheers
Jamie and Shelly.

Hi Matt, Times depend on if we can tag onto the carnival or not, if not, we will meet at about 5:30 to then leave for a bit of a hoon at 6 then get to the restaurant for 7. The meeting point is "The Treacle Mine" at Polegate services.
Also could you let us know if you are doing a challenge (as a couple/pair) as we need to book them in advance. There are 3 burger challenges booked so far.
See you on saturday
Jamie and Shelly

The carival started at 4pm and loads of waiting about etc so meet at 5:30 go for a spin then if the organiser is about he would like us to stop off and show our cars on the seafront, then go and eat
If you had not seen we are meeting at the Treacle mine at polegate Services

Cheers. We think it went really well. We have just got home and feel really fat.
You have got to see the burgers to believe it.
