The padded horn push on my W124 is loose! This has a Merc badge & an Airbag symbol on it.
I thought I had a high spot on the steering & then noticed the horn push was loose at the 12 o/clock point & I have taped it in place along the top edge & the high spot is gone! It must have been catching somewhere.
Now HOW do i get it back in place? There doesnt seem to be any clip or latch & no sign of a fastener. I don't want to poke about as there is an airbag back there somewhere!
Any ideas...other than take it to my local indie?

Turn steering wheel 90deg left or right, on the back of the wheel are two deep holes with a torx head screw at the bottom, t25 IIRC? With battery disconnected and airbag plug which is under pax footwell in place you can take it off totally. Or just tighten it smile

Great information, thanks guys. I have a small slim Torx screwdriver set so will try & tighten up the screws, I don't want to remove the horn pad! Apology for ignorance, but what is the airbag plug? !! and how do you recognise it?
If I am only tightening up the screws, I imagine I don't need to worry about it!

Under the passenger mat I seem to recall there being a plug you remove or put in to disable the airbag. Pretty sure it's red.
