Today I visited (again) the Louwman Museum in The Hague for the exhibition Passione per il Design Italiano.

What is this car? I am convinced I have seen it on the road in the UK (about 20 odd years ago) and I have never been able to get the bottom of what it was that I saw. Does it have a big v8 motor in it?

Alfa Carabo, small V8. Very unlikely to have seen it on the road anywhere.

I've got quite an interesting story about this one.



A couple of years ago when Alfa was the guest marque at the FoS (2010?), I stumbled across this car parked among others in the static display. Nothing strange or startling about that, you say. True.

However, the last time I saw and photographed the Navajo was as a starry eyed 10 year old when my dad had taken me to the LA Auto EXPO, in 1976!

It was an odd feeling seeing it again half a lifetime later and many miles from that first sighting.

Certainly looks like it but the chances of that being on the road near Liverpool 20 odd years ago is slim I suppose. Maybe it was some kind of replica, it certainly had a big v8 and was very quick. I seem to remember it had boxer written on it somewhere.
