So there's a track day not far from me run every month. Looks like a laugh and now I'm back in something a bit sharp (Impreza) I wouldn't mind a blast.

I'd be driving there. Current tyres (Falken 452's) are about 80% and pads are about the same. I'm assuming I should take a spare set of pads anyway and assume they will get destroyed? What about the tyres, should they last? I appreciate there's a lot of varying factors here.

Oil change when I get home?

If I take a notion for it I'll probably buy some 17" wheels and rubber fit for purpose and look into braided brake hoses. Any suggestions for tyres??

What track is it? This is important information, a fast heavy braking track might kill the pads, might not. Use good ones anyway on track regardless, nothing like a big dose of brake fade to kill your fun.
Abrasive airfield surface might kill your tyres, nice smooth tarmac won't. I'd recommend Yoko AD08 as they are amazing but I'll leave that to others. What I will say is that the Bridgestone RE070 (OE on the hot Imprezas) are not very good IMO, great steering response but outright grip is unexceptional in the dry and totally abysmal in the wet.
