Only just over a week till the Jim Clark weekend. Strong entries in all the events this year, and a return of the Langton watersplash.
If the weather holds up it makes for good spectating.

Info on www.jimclarkrally.com

I'll be co-driving in car 91 on the Reivers.

Can't wait. Langton always was a good atmosphere. Looking forward more to the Historics, National and the Reivers than the BRC to be honest. Hopefully the public will get a rough idea on stages soon. I know they've got to make money, but surely they could release the stage start times at least, so then you know where to head.

Langton is back, just outside Duns. A very popular stage where you see the cars come into a hairpin after a ford.

Depends how far you're prepared to go. I'm told the stages up in the hills are good, but they can be quite remote to get to, unless you are in before the roads close. In the past two years, I've gone to Eccles near Coldstream. Quite a good spot by the village hall where you can see the cars coming along the main street and taking a square corner.

It'd all be a lot easier if the organisers gave you a rough idea of when the stages start and the direction they run, without needing a programme in front of you. I know you can order a programme to be posted to you, but I always remember too late! Usually end up getting one when I arrive and planning from there.

Definitely recommend you go to it. The BRC cars are nothing special these days, but it's worth it for the National event and the Reivers. Plus the Historics this year.

I don't want to sound 'preachy' but events are always short of Marshals these days so if you were going anyway then register and you'll get all the stage info ahead of time. You can have your car close for food and drinks etc and you'll be helping to maintain the rally. I don't spectate any more, if I'm going to an event I'll volunteer to help as it's a good way of seeing some spectacular stuff in places you may not be able to get to as a spectator.
