First of all a big thank you to all who have answered my often random questions over the last 6 months but all the graft pain and expense is all of a sudden feeling worth while!!

Some final tweaking around induction and heat sheilding but hopefully out and about on Saturday if its dry!!

Nice, x over manifold itb so you can run big cam overlap with no shunting. What ecu is that? Is that a baffled je sump?

Certainly am!! Just scratching my head on sorting the induction pipework but will probably go with two filters straight on the end of the airboxes for now whilst I get something else fabricated.

I initially wanted a full out monster but changed the brief as I also enjoy touring as well as looney track days! So drivability was a big factor and we compromissed on out and out BHP/torque. Its a turn key JE 5.2 using his xover system and 50mm jenvey TBs. Pico Brown injectors, 10.1:1 Compression and Johns B/V heads. Having said that we are still looking at 380 bhp and torque to match hopefully with a good spread across the rev range. Mapping to be done by Thor racing in Coventry once its bedded down a bit.

The exhaust is from ACT and the Cats are removable, I also have the decatted pipes which will be fitted post MOT - need to speak with the mappers on this!

For the reasons mentioned above I chicken out of a wild cam and have gone for a farly mild hydraulic lifter with 250 degree duration @/050" lift on Johns advice. May review this at a later stage!! Its running a DTA S60 ECU and yep its a JE Baffled sump.

Roll on the weekend - I need to drive it so I can get back to sleep at night!! How sad is that for an old man!

Thanks Matthew - its purfect to my ears but possibly a bit quite for som but not had it on full chat yet as the wirring to the fans is not yet complete. It will be interesting to hear once decatted! I will be out and about in it to TDs etc asap, no doubt our paths will cross at some point. The manifolds are coated but I have heard poor reviews about its effectiveness and how it looks after a few weeks, time will tell!
