I was wondering if anybody here on PH has experience driving or - even better - owning a 981 Cayman or 981 Boxster on Porsche Sport Suspension. If so, what were / are you impressions? And was your experience with a car on 19 inch or 20 inch wheels? (I've seen the Evo, PH and Autoexpres write ups and it looks like the demo they tested was on 20 inch wheels. I am looking for additional inputs, particularly from people that have lived with it during road use).

Also does anybody here have experience of the limited slip differential option on the 981?

Thanks very much for any feedback.

not a option on the new Cayman and no chance of ever finding a Boxster with it.

Hmm, I'd been looking and seen that it was super rare: I am booked on the Silverstone PSE event and they don't have one to try. They don't even have a car with PTV to try out.

it seems buyers of these cars don't want it to be sporty :-), all about comfort, Co2 and electric steering now lol

Hence why I bought a Cayman R a few weeks back over a new one.

Can't comment on the Sport suspension - but the PASM in "sport mode" with 20" wheels is plenty stiff enough for enthusiastic work! As for the diff - I gather it really "hooks up" the rear end under power - but I'll tell you after Friday ....

@mrdemon: completely understand you: the 987 Cayman R is a wonderful drive. However I am not keen on the 987 looks whereas I do like the 981 looks. (And yes - shallow as this is, it is important to me).

@Mike: Yes thanks... please report back on PTV.
