I SERIOUSLY NEED TO SELL MY VETTE!

The car is a Red, Y2K 6 Speed Manual "B-Pack" car with 41K miles and Full Service History.

The car is spotless, has 18/19" Z06 Replica Chrome Wheels (Perfect Condition with Nearly New Tyres), a Cat-Back custom built stainless exhaust, Z06 Air-Intake, Z51 Suspension, HUD, Dual Zone climate, Electric Memory Seats etc. The car also has a Blaupunkt CD/MP3 player and is wired for use with standard ISO stereo systems.

I also have the original wagon wheels with good tyres and a Corvette car cover, which will all go with the car.

I seriously need to sell this car over the next week or so. The car looks and sounds awesome (the exhaust makes it sound like a racing car!), and I'm gutted to see it go, but I simply have no choice. I'll be putting it on e-Bay and Autotrader if it doesn't go from here.

First offer of £19,000 or over will get the car. Please feel free to contact me and I can send photos over.

My e-mail address is:

crodgers {at} europe {dot} ea {dot} com

Thanks!

Colvette

You are under-selling your Corvette you Whelk.

People like you drag the price of a vehicle down, which has a good residual value.

Also first offer of 19000 or over, doh, I will give you 19995.00 even though you only want 19000.00.

I agree (not that your a whelk) (but underselling the car) surely this is worth between 21k-23k depending on condition.

THERES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN DROPPING YOUR PANTS AND ACTUALLY TAKING IT UP THE SHITTER. He's still a full on WHELK in my opinion.

You are selling too cheap, perhaps madbrian is right.

Some people may think there is something wrong with your car at that price.

Oh... would you consider selling the car seperately from the wheels?

...only kidding... I actually like the stock Z06 wheels better :-)

PS Perhaps Mr Colvette put his car up here because he knew that the subscribers actually know about vettes and would take his offer seriously and assist with the quick sale that he's after... just a thought...

If you feel that strongly about it, why not buy it at the asking price, then sell it on the open market for what you reckon it's worth? You'll hold up the used vehicle prices & make yourself a nice profit at the same time

What is going on here?
Firstly no-one here knows why Col is selling the car and secondly it's his car - his asking price should be of no concern to anyone on this forum.

If any of the contrubutors to this thread have actualy sold a C5 privately (I have), then they will know that there are not many buyers so they can be hard to shift - priced keenly can only help achieve an urgent sale which is what Col wants.

I agree about selling......if you need to shift it fast you will drop the price. Most people have an over inflated valuation of what there car is worth and I know like Richard that trying to sell a Corvette privately like any other car over about 5K in value is a nightmare as nobody pays cash any more they either finance or want to part ex.

Colvette you could try advertising it with the guy I use to shift cars. Danny Neville at 0118-982-1234, no guarantees but he shifted my Scooby in less than a week and he sold Jan's C4 again in less than a week.
The deal is he takes £995 you get the rest, he advertises the car does warranty, finance, part ex all those good things that the punters want.

Exactly. For all we know he may have finance companies after him, debt collectors, the CSA, an ex wife, the IR, etc, etc, etc. Or maybe he's feeling really happy with the human race & want's to put a smile on somebodys face?!
Beats me why somebody should get upset because they consider someone is selling a car at slightly below its market value. Must have a real cushy life if that's the sort of thing they get upset about.
Personally, I think it's a good thing - the more C5's drop in value, the more likely I'll be able to justify buying one as a winter hack!
