Driving back from my fifth European driving trip in the seven years I have owned my Chimaera I realised that at least 13,000 of the 22,000 miles I have put on the car have been driven outside the UK. Anybody else in the same boat?

I have to say that the car has performed faultlessly on all the trips. Looking forward to my trip to Germany next year now.

Indeed. Runs to Zolder, N/ring and Spa have made up the bulk of my annual miles in the past few years

Same here, in fact the only run of any distance I've done in the UK was to Anglesey.

Over the 18 years we have owned our 1965 TVR the majority of our motoring has been done outside the UK in the countries listed below. We have also been fortunate to have included laps of many famous racing circuits and stunning roads :

- Belgium - Zolder, Spa Francorchamps,
- Holland
- Germany - Hockenheim, Nordschleife, Sachsenring
- France - Bugatti circuit and 24 hr Circuit at Le Mans, Paul Ricard, Reims (the bit that's left), Mas du Clos, Issoire, Michelin Test Circuit, Massiac hill climb, Nimes
- Italy - Stelvio Pass
- Switzerland -
- Austria : Salzburgring, Grossglockner Pass
- Czech Republic : Brno
- Lichtenstein
- Sweden - Mantorp Park, Knutstorp, Kinnekulle
- Denmark

Can't recommend it highly enough

Indeed over the past 8-9 years ownership most of my miles have been in Europe - France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, this year being the exception.

Ashame they have stopped the Calais road rail service to the south of France in recent years for further travels without the boring bits.

I did have some technical issues one year in France - nothing serious i wasn't able to fix but not something you want on a Bank Holday weekend on a Sunday .......

not so suprising when your car sits for months without moving over winter and is then expected to cover several thousand miles in one go in high temperatures - shows up any weak spots (100 amp fuse, throttle cable snapped, wire pulled off fuel pump) perfect on all subsequent foreign jaunts
