There are loads of segments at the Cumbrian Centreparcs. Should I go for KOM on my chunky old Diamondback or go swimming and have a beer

Whatever you decide to do, make damned sure that you lock your bike VERY securely. Centerparcs is a bike thieves paradise, security are only interested in revenue protection, and because you are on holiday in a supposedly secure location you let your guard drop. Don't. If you do have things go 'walkies', Centerparcs will not be interested, other than to threaten to throw you off site if you stand on a chair in reception and warn other residents of the danger (true - I tried it). Two days after the bikes went missing I found the locks in a stream on site - along with about a dozen other locks of various kinds, so the management's claim that ours was an "isolated incident" was clearly bull locks. My experience was with the Elveden Forest (Thetford) site, but I don't see how it'll be any different anywhere else.
