Something funny at Aberdeen airport yesterday?

Got out of work about 5 and was turning left out of the Airpot Junction at the Shell garage and police had stopped traffic to the right.

Got to the Wellheads drive turn and traffic in all directions stopped there. 5 minutes passed and then we got waved on - saw 2 police bikes and what looked like 2 range rovers coming behind - any ideas?

I assume some bigwig, but the stopping of traffic seemed a bit odd - any ideas who it was?

There was several police vehicles at the building on the left just after the airport roundabout on the A96 in the morning

I can assure you that there is nothing 'funny' about that atrocious little airport.
