Pearl Izumi Tour Series, Canary Wharf

My employer has a team entry to the pro-am support race at the Canary Wharf event. Sounds like fun - one 1km lap each for five amateurs and then the pro does a lap and shows how it's done. Then you get to sit in the VIP and watch the real criterium race.

I'm completely rubbish at sprinting (and 1km is just a long sprint, not a ride...) but I'm thinking of giving it a bash - is there anyone here that's done it before, or doing it this year?

I just came in here to start a thread saying "anyone fancy going along to the Woking and/or Canary Wharf tour events for a night out", but sounds like you're going to be having altogether more fun!

Nonetheless, anyone else fancy the cheap seats?

I'll be there to check it out I guess - bit pissed my employer hasn't got that deal going on for me though!
