Well Ladies and Gentlemen,

I guess I was riding my luck, 102,000 Kms in the Old Cayenne Turbo and she was going like a dream ,only 1K Kms to service and I was a happy bunny.
That was at 09.15 am this morning, at 09.18 no longer a happy bunny.
Coolant everywhere, red warning lights on the dash and the "memsahib" distinctly unchuffed.
No problem I hear you say, the engine warmed slightly but did not overheat, has only moved circa 30yds to get onto the low loader and off at the Garage.
But now the games begin, I live in Portugal, a really really long way away from the Porsche dealer so recovery there is not an option. I am minded to let my local garage do the job, they have looked after the car since we moved over and have done a good job, what could possibly go wrong?

Now down to your help please....................
I have searched earlier topics and posts and have got the part number of the coolant hose that should be replaced at the same time, this is good. I cannot however find the part number for the nice shiny metal replacement three pipe system........Does anyone know the number and lastly are there any other things worth doing whilst the engine is dismantled.

Many thanks in advance

Rob

Take a look on rennlist.com

There is a sticky at the top of the cayenne discussion all about the coolant pipes with part numbers and a good DIY.

Not mentioned is the plastic t piece specific to the turbo coolant system at the back of the block. Worth doing that while intake is off. Someone on here had it let go after the plastic pipes had been done.

So have had a scour through the parts catalogue kindly linked by jibbering but I can find no mention or sight of a T Piece as described by Unclepezza.
Am I missing something here or does anyone have the part number for this T piece.
Thanks again in advance.
Been to the garage "armed" with all the papers I printed off including the part numbers and was told "No Problem" ............mind you they say that to everything here. rolleyes

Thanks
Rob
