mx5 cage/roll bar functional, lose leg room?

Have been looking for sometime on eBay and been pipped by a few am after a functional half cage and maybe door bars but the basic question is I'm over 6ft and have my seat back all the way do you lose some seat travel because of the bars running down to the floor?

Mk1 eunos model.

What are my choices not interested in style bars need to be functional , I see tr lane do one that looks like it sits ontop of the rear shelf.

TR lane's GP range sits on top of the shelf and seatbelt towers while the TD rage bolt to the floor. Have you done a foamectomy?

I figured as much with the cages bolting to the floor you lose some rear seat travel.

What's a foamectomy ? I assume its a trimming of the seat ?

TRL GP allows full seat travel and foamectomy is cutting foam from the seat base.

I'm 6' and have a GP bar in mine and with full travel still available it's fine. Although I now run a low mounted fixed composite seat for extra safety

Depends in the seat. Was fine in my Mk1, not so in my MK2.5
