Driver Budgets and Race Series

In between working offshore and home im finding the car preparation and taking to and from race events a bit if a drag....in the best possible sense. Getting other commitments on the go i find i'm sorting out the car and getting things ready for most of my time at home when i need to be doing other things. Any ideas for an arrive an drive package or series, i have been getting some figures back but need some real world stats. I know its a dearer route but the way i see it is i can only do a handful of races so i could still justify a typical annual budget even if it over half the races if you catch my drift.

Fancy endurance/ speed series/ 24 hr Ring efforts anything a bit out of the ordinary?!
