Indy 500 This Weekend

I'm prepared for the flaming I'm likely to get for this, but is anyone else going to Indianapolis this weekend as a "warm-up" for Le Mans?
My Le Mans travelling partner this year is picking me up in Chicago in the morning and we're dropping down to the Brickyard until Monday. Working from Tuesday till Friday in Milwaukee area, home again for a couple of weeks and then the Le Mans trip starts.
Can't believe my luck this year!

Big race I know in the US and used to watch Indy car all the time as great racing, but it had gone too formula and lost interest. I think Le man in different league now.

However, good travels and enjoy.

I think I was watching this in the pub last night. Looking at the cars I thought it was some junior formula. I didn't know it was the indy 500. What on earth have they done to the cars. They look terrible!

Your right about the cars. Too long and all that body work at the rear.
Biggest disappointment for me was how bland they sound even though they run open exhausts.
Great race to be at and a fantastic spectacle nevertheless.
